so this weekend has been reading and leeds and creamfields festivals so there has been lots of live music on radio 1 and also great coverage on bbc 3. i especially loved the arctic monkeys performance which was on on saturday night and wow! what performance although i have to say to alex turner to cut off the hair. its not a good look. also the charts are looking much better this week with dizzee rascal at the top with holiday which is a decent song and by far better than akon. also im totally loving just jack whose song the day i died is just amazing. some people thought he was gonna be a one hit wonder with starz in their eyes but he proved them wrong with embers and now AGAIN with the day i died. go just jack!

just a random fact: i just realised that the sexiest male voices in music are not very sexy looking men for example lead singer of kings of leon, i was very upset when i saw him in a music video. its like the fact that men with gorgeous faces have horrible hands. antonia quirke said that in her book and when i looked around i realised she is so right.

currently im listening to iris by the goo goo dolls but i think im going to listen to when you were young by the killers soon. also i watched outnumbered before which was hilarous, check it out on the iplayer. so good night to you all x

We're only turning into tigers when we gotta fight back

so the news came out a few days ago about the oasis split and it all is just very sad. like the whole band is depressing anyway with noel and liams arguements and it was all getting abit ridiculous so it was a good idea for them to just finish it however i feel very bad for all the oasis fans who didnt get to see them live or had tickets but oasis will now not be playing. oasis do have some amazing songs and at v festival, when snowpatrol did a cover of wonderwall it just made me realise that oasis have really made some legendary songs but what stops me listening is liam and noel voices. they are so arrogant and you can hear it in their voices. they are so massive that when they came to manchester and played in a park up the road from me and from my house you couldnt even hear their voices, just the crowd coz they are so massive with everyone knowing every word of every song like its crazy!! so have a good day x

walking tall against the rain

yes i am back in rainy manchester and have enjoyed my holiday so much but i missed blogging and am very excited to be back! in london i was watching the music channels quite alot so i have loads of info and opinions to share with you! first i want to talk about shakira who has made a comeback with she wolf and my friend sent me a text about it which really says it all:

"i saw the music video for shakiras new single OMG its practically porn. i was so surprised that i watched the documentary on the making of it: shakira explained SHYLY that it is about the modern woman who went through a scarlett closet and became a sexually charged wolf who 'follows her desires' at one point it is difficult to see whether she is wearing any clothes or not. which is weird because i watched in an interview that she is very shy about her body 'the dancing requires it' apparently she learnt to belly dance to overcome her shyness!!! what do u make of that?" thank you to rivka for the words i couldnt have said it better and id love to kn0w your opinion on the matter...
as you all must know, run this town is just so huge but i just want to say that in the music video for run this town, rihannas hair looks very la roux. both of them are making me desperate to get short hair but im just way too chicken.

and lastly just wanted to say that pixie lott has such a killer voice and her new single boys and girls just shows off what a great voice she has, also the music video shows off her killer legs btw what is it with the short shorts at the moment? pixie lott, katy perry and lady gaga are all rocking the shorts which are just a tiny bit to short thereby showing just a tiny bit of killer ass!! have a great day x

this weeks no. 1

i wasnt going to write another post and im supposed to be packing at the moment (im going tomorrow morning) but i have to deliver the horrible music news that david guetta and akon have reached no. 1. yes they dont deserve it. no song should even be in the charts that is so disgusting. i love david guetta but akon just cant seem to write any lyrics that arent offensive to women and about sex. although lets look on the bright side in this weeks chart is little boots, black eyed peas and many other amazing bands. just a few notes

• esmee denters does have a decent voice but her song isnt exactly ground breaking. maybe shell get more interesting in a few years but im sure shes one to watch out for even though her debut single is so weak
• calvin harris is doing amazing in the charts with ready for the weekend. its an incredible song and im just loving everything hes coming out with at the moment. all very experimental and interesting.
• little boots is very cute and tiny but with an incredible voice. her single remedy which i think reached no. 6 is so catchy!

some sad news

i am leaving you. im just going to say it straight! i am leaving the wonderful blogging for a whole 6 days (me trying not to be melodramatic is like a fish surviving out of water ie its never gonna happen!) i am off to see my dad who lives in london and i am very excited. im going to the theatre, camden market and oxford street and possibly other shopping places. i love shopping and my dad is willing to take me. im quite excited as my dad is taking a few days off from work but a few days im just gonna go around london by myself which is just so cool. i remember last time i went and i just went to oxford street by myself then came back and let myself into my dads flat and i just felt so independent. thats something i am so grateful for. coz my mom hates shopping i have been shopping by myself for a long time. i got a debit card when i was twelve. thats the great thing about having divorced parents, you really have to be independent.

• lily allen is so talented and she has come back with an amazing album.

• the streets-fit but you know it. just heard it on the radio and its so cool. the lyrics are so amazing. amazing is my new favourite word.

• run this town. im sure youve heard so much about this. its a monster! jay z, rihanna and kanye west. it cant be anything but amazing and they really dont disappoint with this killer of a tune!
• check out the goo goo dolls who are just amazing. they have some new stuff but iris is still my favourite. just beautiful music.

mariah/eminem

now im sure you have heard all about this but i just wanted to share my opinion on the matter (as if i could keep my big mouth shut for long!) there is doubt in my mind that what eminem says happened between them, did actually happen (though i am abit biased since i adore eminem and hate mariah) eminem is being very sort of childish about the whole thing and all sort of really a playground fight ('you did' 'no i didnt' 'yes you did' 'no i so didnt' 'well i have proof' 'why are you so obsessed with me?'....) although you have to admit obsessed is actually a great song that we wouldnt have without the great honesty of eminem. eminem, though, is abit old for this but i understand that it must be very irritating for him as mariah is lying through her teeth and totally getting away with it even wearing a necklace saying 'angel' on it in her music video for obsessed. i still havent heard the warning but i will tell you when i do. and today, coz of my last post, i have been singing empire of the sun all day, i think im like reobsessed with it. also today i met the most beautiful 6 year old. she has light brown hair, piercing eyes, black black eyelashes. she is half dutch and you can tell when she is older, she is going to be tall, striking and utterly beautiful. some people get all the luck! good night x

feeling my faith erode

that title is a lyric of muse and i just really related to it and since this post is all about muse i stuck it there looking all awkward as a title! muse have some very strange lyrics but their new song uprising really does have some strange lyrics. here are some of them:

when i heard those lyrics the first thing i thought of is prostitutes. the lyrics just left me with an image in my head of prostitutes doing a march, campaigning against the goverments attitude towards them. its strange. i think all of their songs are sort of about sex and prostitution and shit like that. like listen to the lyrics of plug in baby or time is running out. but so do arctic monkeys always talk about prostitution. i think prostitutes are probably very interesting to write about. i guess i get inspired by prostitutes by fashion. i dont dress slutty or anything but my favourite colours are red and black and i own like two red dresses which is what prostitutes used to wear. and i love lace and anything sheer, i really do love slutty fashion! i do also love wearing polo necks and layers so as usual i like both extremes! thanx for the comments btw x

lost prophets

ive liked rooftops for a long time but i didnt know who sung it until today when i heard it on the radio and the dj said they sing it and it was one of those moments where it suddenly clicks! anyway i think the lead singer has the same voice as the front man of green day, very boring and american. i dont like green day except for boulavard of broken dreams but with lost prophets it seems the music is so loud you dont really hear his horrible voice and rooftops is just so amazing to sing along to. just love it! just listeing to eminem and florence. both so talented in such a different way. btw lost prophets have a brand new single but it doesnt sound very good. x

whos the singer?

okay i just went to see the time travellers wife which was amazing but obviously not as good as the book. the book is so long so they really had to rush the film and if you havent read the book it probably is very confusing but it was a beautiful film, beautifully set and very epic. anyway on to the reason for this post, in the trailer for the time travelers wife there is some gorgeous music that ive no idea who its by but its beautiful. weirdly thats how i found out about dido, through a trailer of a film i cant even name now (this was a long time ago). i often find that with a film that they play a good song in the middle of the film and i cant concentrate on the film coz im wondering who sings the song they are playing! have a good night x

handbags

okay i have decided to buy a new handbag and i went to accessorize and they have so many gorgeous handbags! so im only going to buy one but its a very hard decision! all the handbags above are from accessorize and they had even more had i think these are the best so now comes the horrible point at which i have to decide! i cant decide! i will tell you when i do but in the meantime let me leave you with a thought of the day how tacky is it when you can see someones thong? so please take it from me and and make sure whenever you are wearing low-slung jeans PLEASE make sure your thong or whatever underwear you are wearing is no showing! have a good afternoon x

off to the beach-what happened??

okay look at the picture and that is the beach i went to today! its called southport and i went with a few of my friends and well it was fun!the sea was literally like a mile out so we just drew rude things and wrote rude things in the sand and had a great time! we read loads of trashy magazines which were so dreadful! they think the new peter andre is good. i have not heard something so dreadful in a very long time actually never! usually im quite open minded about music but really there is nothing good in that song. even when paris hilton did some songs they were dreadful but we survived well this is music that you cant listen to without feeling nauseated. its just dreadful. and the sickest thing of all is that it got to like no. 4 in the charts. whats wrong with the british public? usually we have such good tastes but really we have let ourselves down but on a more happier note i am just loving eminem at the moment! he really is legendary and his music is just beautiful! the charts at the moment are dreadful but i have hope that maybe the winter season will bring us all back to our senses and i wont have to stop listening to the radio because all the music is so dreadful. this is such a depressing post so i shall leave you reminding you to SMILE! we shall prevail and be strong!! x

sexy voices

a sexy voice can change a song or a film so completely and make it into something so different and so irresistible to the listener/watcher. a broken voice can be the illustration to the song so that not only are the words and melody telling a story but the voice is too. a voice is magical. two days ago my friend was suffering from a soar throat and as a result from this she started losing her voice and her voice sounded so cool and sexy! i am so jealous of her coz i never get i soar throat! so i got thinking about the sexiest voices that i have heard and here are some of the many! up above is sophie bush whose voice is so gorgeous. she has the ability to whisper on camera and you hear every word. every word is captivating and seductive. i want her voice!

pinks voice, as ive mentioned before, is just beautifully broken. each word of each song sounds like it hurt to say and you just feel her pain. shes so captivating with her lyrics and beautiful voice. one of the few singers who has come back with a much better album than the last. beautiful.

johnny depp, although a very boring man, does have a wonderful voice. when he talks normally, his words just come together to form one gorgeous sound (for want of a better word)

heath ledgers voice is legendary and him being dead sort of adds to the magic. his voice is so deep and beautiful. also a very beautiful man.

may i just say here that one of the sexiest accents on men is the scottish accent. it sounds so manly and deep and me and my friend want to visit scotland for that reason and that reason only! you might think of us as shallow but i see it as searching for beauty.

this weeks top 40

okay this is going to be purely a music post and i am very excited! first look above and there you can see a picture of ian carey project. get shaky is such an amazing song to sing along to and dance around in your underwear doing ridiculously sexy moves that you would NEVER do in front of anyone else other than your bedroom mirror!! and this song reached the amazing spot of no. 9 this week! also the female vocalist has such a cool voice!

i love lily allen alot and she has come back this year with some amzing singles like 22 which is all about how ridiculous it is that life is said to be over at 30. lily always has some great lyrics and they always make you think alot abit like arctic monkeys lyrics. this song is also very melodic and lilys voice is, as always, just gorgeous!

this crazy guy up above is frankmusik who is yes abit strange but he does make amzing music! his song in this weeks chart is confusion girl which is very addictive and very cute! its also very catchy and will go round your head all day! his music always has a great tune! on his website you can hear all his songs, so check it out here.

this beautiful woman is the very lovely florence who you will know as my idol/obsession! beautiful, amzing, talented, i just love her! in the charts at the moment is the legendry rabbit heart but at the moment i am loving her new single which hasnt charted yet called the drumming song. check out the music video here on her website in which she looks so incredible.

and last to be talked about is chicane who i have listened to all through writing this post! his song poppiholla is just amzing. with no words just an beautiful melody, this song is just gorgeous. its also worth checking out his website here because you can listen to some of his other stuff which is also really beautiful.

okay look at the picture and think of the opposite of that and that basically where im going! me and my friends realised we had nothing to do for a week and we dont wanna spend much money so my friend came up with the idea to go to go to the beach and since we live in england all the beaches are utter crap but im sure we will make the most of it! we only wanna go for the day coz its way too complicated and expensive to stay over but im really excited! my mom is from gibraltar and we go there twice a year to visit my grandparents so i know what a real beach should look like and english beaches are really NOT normal beaches! the tide is like a mile out, its always raining but everyone still walks around in bikinis! its very strange! by the way i am totally loving britney spears at the moment! theres nothing like britney to get you in a good mood! songs like toxic just remind me of such happy times when i was younger! good night x

gossip girl

just yesterday i suddenly realised that i haven really been talking about books like at all and since they play such a big part in my life i wanna tell you abit about the good books i love! i have always loved reading and i remember a guy saying he learnt everything he knew because of films and i realised i knew everything because of books. its so much better when you read something than watching it. you can imagine it, you can own it, make it your own, and because books are not censored and you dont have to be a certain age to read certain books, it just doent feel as dirty. i just love reading!

so one of my all-time favourite books is the prequel to gossip girl which is just amazing! i just totally love all the characters and they are all so unique and amazing! thats why i hate the tv series so much because its strips them of all their gorgeous quirks and stereotypes them and i just cant watch that program that program without wanting to kill the writers of it (and no, i dont have anger issues!). i love so many other books but ill tell you guys about them another time, once ive calmed down! im just not in very good mood at the moment! sorry! x

films i HAVE to see!

i am so excited for this film! (500) days of summer just looks so gorgeous and quirky! i totally love zooey and my friend is desperate to see it coz the guy has a voice like heath ledger who was such an amazing actor and so incredibly sexy! casanova is one of the greatest films ever!

so ive read the book of my sisters keeper which was really good and then i never got round to seeing the film and the thing is im not sure i want to because the guy who plays campbell, one of my favourite characters in the book, looks complete shit and maybe its just better not to see it because the book is always better than the film. but anyway i dont think its in the cinema anymore so ill have to wait for it to come out on dvd and then ill have to make the decision. to live or to die! i love being melodramatic about nothing!!

so this isnt really a tormenting decision! im going to read this book hopefully starting today and finish it by wednesday when im going to the cinema to see this film (the time travellers wife) and im looking forward coz this film just looks breathtaking like all gorgeous scenery and beautiful people! im actually quite excited!

new layout!

okay i know i havent been blogging for long but i was already getting bored with the layout so i messed about with it all and i like it much better now! i decided to put a picture of glastonbury as my title picture coz i just think glastonbury is amazing! im only 15 and we are quite skint so theres no way i can go but every glasto i listen on the radio and watch it! its always amazing and soo exciting!

this year there was the amazing florence and the machine playing who just did a killer performance and looked absolutely gorgeous! i remember watching here and thinking, if i had a good voice i would would do exactly what shes doing! all the sort of twirling around on stage in gorgeous costumes and having songs with lyrics about everything and anything! shes really my idol i guess! so enough gushing for the day! x

arctic monkeys

so this is another english band coming back with an amazing song with those great lyrics we have all come to love! these guys are just great and play just amzing music with killer lyrics, gorgeous tunes and a very english accent! they really are the kings of english indie. if youre unfamiliar with these guys check out their new song crying lightening or some of their older stuff like when the sun goes down and i bet you look good on the dancefloor. also fluorescent adolescent which is the song that really made me fall for this band. just amazing lyrics. there are so many bands who have tried to do what arctic monkeys do but they cant. arctic monkeys started off loving being unsigned and refused to sign up to any management but finally signed up to a manager but they only did this when they had a strong, dedicated fan base so their stuff does feel abit sort of cleaned up underground feel. have a good day x

im back and still smiling!

nirvana in their early daysthe killers also in their early days! all bands look coolest when theyre young.

okay im back from my holiday and it was crazy! i had so much fun and it was so cool to go to sleep listening to sheep baaing (or whatever that noise they make is called!). although in the middle of the night, in the rain, i had to walk up to the toilet which was full of flying daddy-long-legs and flies!! we camped in wales and it was raining alot but we managed to go out and have a good time although its nice to be home now and to sleep in my own bed, have a warm shower and go to a clean bathroom which is free of creepy crawlies!

so while we were camping we had no radio but we had a cd player and my friend brought along the new killers album, day and age, and its really grown on me! im really lovng the killers now. im especially loving spaceman and everytime we got to that song we put the volume up really loud coz its just amzing!

by the way if you want a very loud song, my favourite song to blast out the windows is smells like teen spirit by nirvana which is just wow! theres no words to describe how genius it is!

camping!

okay guess where im off to??!!!!! okay im soo freaking excited!! im going camping with my friend and her family(she has 5 younger brothers! its gonna be fun!) so it was only yesterday that my friend asked me and we are going today! but anyway were going for 3 nights and i tried very hard to pack light (its so hard!) so its gonna be fun!

i will be listening to friendly fires and snowpatrols first album and probably listening to the radio alot!

but im not going to be blogging for 3 WHOLE days so ill made this an even longer than normal post (i can hear you groan!)

just before i was listening to the radio and i heard jamie t and i remembered how i hadnt told you guys about him! hes so great and english! check out sticks and stones (his last single) which is just amzing also i totally adore daniel merriweather! hes just got such a cool voice that he can mess about with so much! i loved stop me for a long time and i didnt know it was him until he started to do some stuff solo. check out red (my favourite colour and my favourite song by him!).

i love the MAC advertising campaigns! they are always so interesting and wierd. i know this picture is old but i still think its amazing! my aunt works for MAC which means its fun when we see her coz she has so much MAC make up and like a million brushes resulting in soo much fun and games!

fleet foxes

im just listening to these guys and they just have the cutest music. just so nice to listen to! listen to he doesnt know why and also white winter hymnal to understand what im talking about! ive been really into really into really simple music at the moment. ive just been listening to red hot chili peppers, now fleet foxes, pink, friendly fires and anything really simple. thats all i wanna hear at the moment. nothing too complicated like muse. i think im just sort of going through a music detox thing because i have this with food that all i wanna eat is simple things like fruit and veg so i think this is the music version of that!! i know that doesnt make a lot of sense but it is what it is. sorry for such a boring post. maybe ill be more inspired later on today or tomorrow. have a good day! x

my bedroom

so i decided to clear out my bedroom finally. look above for how it looks now. only joking!!! but you knew that anyway! and i went through all my wardrobe and i literally had piles and piles of stuff i didnt want! so my younger sister had to go through all of it (she still hasnt finished!) deciding what she wants. so my cupboard is looking very empty now. i had this massive shelf of stuff that i had sorted out to give to my sister but since i had done it so long ago alot of the stuff didnt fit her although it brought back alot of memories! i fell back in love with a gorgeous pinafore that i used to adore when i was like 8! so the charity shop is going to be bursting now! but at least im spending my summer holidays constuctivly (how american did that sound?!)

me and my friend seem to always be buying crappy magazines at the moment. we used to be those posh girls who bought vogue for £4 every month but now we keep on buying crap magazines because theyre so much cheaper (pick me up and love it are only 68p!) and we have so much fun laughing at the articles which are so badly written and such rubbish! we had a bit of a hyper afternoon hanging around the lowry outlet and buying lattes with way too much sugar in, eating loads of chocolate and reading love it. consequently we got very hyper, laughing at things that werent funny and finally understanding why sugar gives you such a high! but i havent crashed yet so well see when that happens!!! good night x

the white stripes

okay. new obsession alert!! i have just found the white stripes. actually correction. i have liked these guys for a long time but i only really liked two of their songs, my doorbell and seven nation army. check out both songs btw. anyway so i decided to check out some of their other stuff and its all just amazing!! lovin dead leaves and dirty ground and the hardest button to button! these guys are just amazing!

also just had a manicure at nails inc today but afterwards the nail varnish hadnt dried properly and about 5 of my fingers got smudged! i was/am so upset! so i had to get out my nail polish when i got home and fill in the gaps but it doesnt look as good as before! it was very expensive also!

btw i have forgotten to mention my love for the chili peppers. they really are legends! im just really in the mood for them at the moment so ive been listening to californication on repeat (try it, trust me)!

this band ive always vaguely know of but now they have released an amzing song called audacity of huge. its just so addictive! they are now being played on daytime radio and everything! they are getting the success they deserve! these guys are so talented also their name in initals is really funny (smd)! for any of you innocent people out there that also stands for suck my ----. you can guess the last word!!!

just listening to pink please dont leave me and just like a pill. after hearing funhouse on the radio this morning i got into a really pink mood! also big news just bought these doc martens and i am very excited to get them. i have had the same boots now for over 4 years and they are looking dreadful! so this is very exciting!

i could make this list a whole long longer but i think its more fun to find blogs yourself. then you sort of own the rights to them. that sentence didnt make any sense! its too late for me to be talking sense anymore so ill shut up and leave you with a request:

friendly fires 2

okay last night i decided to give the new album of friendly fires a listen and omg it is so cool and indie and quirky! just listening to this album makes me feel cool! really check it out. its a really relaxing album and just a really great summer album!

when i was looking at this weeks top 40 i saw la roux and it just reminded me of her. elly is amzing with such a cool voice and shes so quirky and cool! i just love her. really great tunes and there has been some amzing remixes of in for the kill. this week shes at no.7 with bulleproof, a previous no. 1. if you like dubstep check out the dubstep remix of in for the kill. its legendary! expect big things from this lady! by the way, dont you just adore her hair?!

this is a band that my friend is totally obsessed with but i just sort of like! check out there music video for dont trust me if you wanna know why im just not that into them. they are such idiots! the video starts with them taking off their robes (whats underneath is very disappointing, girls) and just taking themselves basically way too seriously! its just weird like theres no irony! they are totally serious! i dunno check it out
