im off to gibraltar tomorrow so ive been doing a lot of shopping today and i will start packing soon.. im so excited! ive got an early morning flight so that should be fun! i still have to paint my nails.. i was gonna go for a manicure but instead i spent the money on books for the holiday!

i probably wont blog for 2 weeks now so i hope you wont miss me too much.. its fine ill be back before you know it!

i am back in manchester and looking tanned! this holiday i have truly been doing nothing except watching tv and reading all kinds of crap! so ive got loads to tell you guys! lets just do this in numbers otherwise its gonna go on forever

1. i know i should totally get over them coz they have been out for AGES but i am still lovin supernova by mr hudson and run this town by jay z. mtv dont play very good music and its all very old but hearing these songs, it was so exciting, the opening chords.. !!
2. i actually hate tv but there wasnt really much else to do so i was watching americas next top model, the hills, laguna beach and of course tons of vh1.
3. i read two very different books. i read plain truth by joudi picoult and it was very interesting and well written. its all about an amish girl being accused of murdering her baby. also about babies, i read heartbeat by danielle steel which was just a cute romance and it had a surprisingly simple storyline. not a great book but just beautifully mindless.
4. today taio cruz did a cover of little lion man which if you read my blog alot youll know i m totally in love with that song and the band mumford and sons. anyway the cover was actually really good so check out the interview and performance here. love to hear your opinion on it

gossip girl

just yesterday i suddenly realised that i haven really been talking about books like at all and since they play such a big part in my life i wanna tell you abit about the good books i love! i have always loved reading and i remember a guy saying he learnt everything he knew because of films and i realised i knew everything because of books. its so much better when you read something than watching it. you can imagine it, you can own it, make it your own, and because books are not censored and you dont have to be a certain age to read certain books, it just doent feel as dirty. i just love reading!

so one of my all-time favourite books is the prequel to gossip girl which is just amazing! i just totally love all the characters and they are all so unique and amazing! thats why i hate the tv series so much because its strips them of all their gorgeous quirks and stereotypes them and i just cant watch that program that program without wanting to kill the writers of it (and no, i dont have anger issues!). i love so many other books but ill tell you guys about them another time, once ive calmed down! im just not in very good mood at the moment! sorry! x
