im wearing one of my favourite outfits today. its like really cool, comfy and casual (the 3 c's of perfection!) im getting into a really summery mood at the moment maybe its coz im going to gibraltar on wednesday and its gonna be pretty hot there, i cant wait!! i was trying on my shorts yesterday that i can never wear in manchester, its way too cold here!

so here is my five favourite songs at the moment:

emilys heart- this is by jamie t and what a beautiful song! its so lazy and gorgeous.. im just in heaven when i listen to this. its very slow and its got this beautiful guitar.. i just love it. i can tell its not gonna do well in the charts but thats what i love about it. its quite simplistic but very clever

dry your eyes- i love this song by the streets. it honestly brings me near to tears which is funny considering the title!

stay too long- i love what plan b is doing at the moment and this song is just amazing. its got so much energy, so much urgency. i love that whole urgent sound like what arctic monkeys used to sound like. now theyre these celebs, their music just sounds a bit lazy. its really annoying coz there are so many artists who's first albums i love and then they come out with some new stuff and its good but nowhere near as good as their old stuff. well plan b is the exception and pink.

the pretender- obviously by the foo fighters. i love the energy of this song. its just immense!

crystalised- i think this is the new single by the xx. i bought this album and i just love it. all their songs are so slow and beautiful. the vocals are amazing.

hope youve had a good week. its nearly the weekend now! very exciting! im currently off school with a horrible cold but this is a great time to catch up with blogging! look at me being all positive! x

pink has got one of the sexiest voices on this fucking planet! i am so jealous! its all throaty and exactly how you want your voice to sound when you have a sour throat. its hard to explain but her new single i dont believe you is a very good example of what i love about her voice. the way her voice breaks, it just sounds so amazing when shes singing a song like who knew and sober. she talks about her heart breaking and her voice is so raw, you can hear the pain in her voice. i definately think she has one of the best voices in music. her and kings of leon should do a song together. imagine what that song would like! so beautiful. i wrote a post about her here. its not very good coz its like one of the first posts i ever wrote but i guess its interesting to read.

• the xx-they were supporting florence and what an amazing band! its a guy and girl singing and its all sort of whispery and beautiful. check out their remix of youve got the love.
• plan b- pieces the chasing status remix. its so amazing and beautiful and totally impossible to explain! just trust me on this one!
• just wanted to add two others to my list of artists i grew up with and that is nelly and maroon 5 oh and usher. i hate all of them now but there music just reminds me of good times so i will listen to it anyway!

ive got a maths exam tomorrow and on tuesday so i really shouldnt be blogging now but anyway wish me luck and sorry if i dont post for a while x
