wow this a great load of music pics. the first is of the killers on stage, the next is some guy on guitar at coachella. ive no idea who he is but i just like the picture. the third picture is of florence, isnt it gorgeous?! and the last is of bombay bicycle club. how cute is it?! i had a dream about bombay bicycle club that one of them was serving me at a fish shop and i told them that i really liked their music!

anyway i was just watching 90210 and a regina specktor song came on. id really fogotten about her. she has such a stunning voice. so the title lyrics are from her song laughing with which is such a beautiful song. i love how pure and simple her voice in. we were just talking about different types of voices in physics today coz we were learning about sound waves and stuff... anyway im getting off the point here (as usual!)

i've got coursework in for next week and exams starting in a few weeks so that should stop me posting a lot so sorry if i abandon this blog for a bit. but my study leave starts on the 7th may so after that i will hopefully be posting a bit more although i have to make sure i dont spend too much time on the computer coz i have a ton of exams to learn for! cya x

i went to town today and watched new moon finally and wow! it reminded me of when i read the book, which was around the time twilight came out, and i cried so much when i was reading new moon and it was really the same with the film except not as bad! the film had more jokes in so i wasnt crying as much but it was really funny coz i was crying in exactly the same bits as i cried in the book! but me and my friend bought some chocolate so that definitely helped. and i made sure to take out my tissues before the film and i didnt wear any make up! i was well prepared!

so these pictures are of paloma faith who is just so beautiful with such a gorgeous figure. she also has an immense voice!

i was reading an article in the daily telegraph and the journalist was saying that music nowadays is not about just a great voice, its about owning the song making it your own. its about putting on a performance because truth be told people dont listen to songs if they are crap but the artist has a great voice. its about having the whole package. like billy joel really had a big influence in the music world because he was really a poet with a dreadful voice but people bought (and still buy) his music because of the melodies and the lyrics. im very into lyrics so this definitely makes a lot of sense to me.

at the moment im loving sidney samson, chapel club and bombay bicycle club (i had a dream about them but thats a whole other story!)

i was in h & m today and i cant stay by the killers came on and i got so excited coz its a song from their fourth album that hasnt been released as a single in the uk but i love it. its my favourite song on the album hence the killers title lyrics (theyre from a dustland fairytale)

it seems to be the year of girls but quietly sharing the success are the boy bands. indie has become massive as well as sweet voices and cute lyrics. i mean look at the success of kings of leon (hot voice but hate their music) so here is my top,im not sure how many, bands (in order of the pictures):

• miike snow-they are the band of the genius music that has been amazing for the summer but so perfect for autumn. the voices, the melodies, all their music is really beautiful.
• hockey-theyre more commercial but dead catchy with songs that stay in your head ALL day!
• mumford and sons-such a gorgeous band and marcus mumford (lead singer) has the most beautiful indie voice. theres such desperation and sweetness in that voice like when he says 'ive really fucked it up this time, didnt i my dear?' you can tell hes been there but theres such innocence in that voice. hes what gary lightbody from snowpatrol tries to do. just innocent but not naive or ignorant. its hard to explain just listen to little lion man!
• the big pink-im sure youve heard dominoes which is so great because they truly embrace their totally english accent. it was so revolutionary when arctic monkeys did this and then it got boring but the big pink are less posh and theyve got way stronger accents. they make me very proud to be british!
• boys like girls-just for their name i love them! its so boyish and cant be bothered! like hockey they are just great to sing along to. not great lyrics just great songs with good beats. mindless sort of music.
• bombay bicycle club-these guys are really the meaning of indie boy bands! if you wanted an example of the genre youd choose them. so indie and sweet. really sweet guys as well

so now choose one band to check out and if you cant decide just choose which one is cutest! (why do you think i put pictures in?!!) thanx for all the great comments x
