i dont talk about them enough but the killers are really such a massive part of my life. i know every song of every album, ive loved their music for about 6 or 7 years which really is a long time to like a band when youre only a teenager. i was speaking to my friend and even though we are the top of the school, i still feel like tiny! so back to the killers, i think 'my' song from all their albums has to be bones because it just reminds me of me! i can so relate to it coz im so bony but its more than the lyrics, its the way it starts i mean that beginning still gives me an adrenaline rush! its such a distinctive song that could never be compared to any other song. its so unique and so exciting and has such character. its also dramatic and does what i always do, just break out into song! im like a musical that doesnt stop! but i only sing like a line of a song and its usually off key so not really like a musical! the music video has everyone turning into skeletons and is just one of their best music videos, check it out here. if you wanna buy one of their albums definitely buy hot fuss, their first album, coz its so fresh and beautiful and impossible to describe!

so people i have news! okay its not dead exciting but i am going to london tomorrow for a long weekend just to shop! i only decided to go on sunday coz i wanted to go shopping but im fed up town in manchester so im going to london to go to oxford street (and to visit my dad and cousins). i sound so shallow minded! oh well people can judge me but im just gonna go and have fun! so i will be back on sunday and i wont be blogging when im there so sorry for not checking out your blogs but i really need to pack! lovin the view and the xx at the moment. have a good night x

it seems to be the year of girls but quietly sharing the success are the boy bands. indie has become massive as well as sweet voices and cute lyrics. i mean look at the success of kings of leon (hot voice but hate their music) so here is my top,im not sure how many, bands (in order of the pictures):

• miike snow-they are the band of the genius music that has been amazing for the summer but so perfect for autumn. the voices, the melodies, all their music is really beautiful.
• hockey-theyre more commercial but dead catchy with songs that stay in your head ALL day!
• mumford and sons-such a gorgeous band and marcus mumford (lead singer) has the most beautiful indie voice. theres such desperation and sweetness in that voice like when he says 'ive really fucked it up this time, didnt i my dear?' you can tell hes been there but theres such innocence in that voice. hes what gary lightbody from snowpatrol tries to do. just innocent but not naive or ignorant. its hard to explain just listen to little lion man!
• the big pink-im sure youve heard dominoes which is so great because they truly embrace their totally english accent. it was so revolutionary when arctic monkeys did this and then it got boring but the big pink are less posh and theyve got way stronger accents. they make me very proud to be british!
• boys like girls-just for their name i love them! its so boyish and cant be bothered! like hockey they are just great to sing along to. not great lyrics just great songs with good beats. mindless sort of music.
• bombay bicycle club-these guys are really the meaning of indie boy bands! if you wanted an example of the genre youd choose them. so indie and sweet. really sweet guys as well

so now choose one band to check out and if you cant decide just choose which one is cutest! (why do you think i put pictures in?!!) thanx for all the great comments x

We're only turning into tigers when we gotta fight back

so the news came out a few days ago about the oasis split and it all is just very sad. like the whole band is depressing anyway with noel and liams arguements and it was all getting abit ridiculous so it was a good idea for them to just finish it however i feel very bad for all the oasis fans who didnt get to see them live or had tickets but oasis will now not be playing. oasis do have some amazing songs and at v festival, when snowpatrol did a cover of wonderwall it just made me realise that oasis have really made some legendary songs but what stops me listening is liam and noel voices. they are so arrogant and you can hear it in their voices. they are so massive that when they came to manchester and played in a park up the road from me and from my house you couldnt even hear their voices, just the crowd coz they are so massive with everyone knowing every word of every song like its crazy!! so have a good day x

films i HAVE to see!

i am so excited for this film! (500) days of summer just looks so gorgeous and quirky! i totally love zooey and my friend is desperate to see it coz the guy has a voice like heath ledger who was such an amazing actor and so incredibly sexy! casanova is one of the greatest films ever!

so ive read the book of my sisters keeper which was really good and then i never got round to seeing the film and the thing is im not sure i want to because the guy who plays campbell, one of my favourite characters in the book, looks complete shit and maybe its just better not to see it because the book is always better than the film. but anyway i dont think its in the cinema anymore so ill have to wait for it to come out on dvd and then ill have to make the decision. to live or to die! i love being melodramatic about nothing!!

so this isnt really a tormenting decision! im going to read this book hopefully starting today and finish it by wednesday when im going to the cinema to see this film (the time travellers wife) and im looking forward coz this film just looks breathtaking like all gorgeous scenery and beautiful people! im actually quite excited!

so what music am i listening to at the moment i hear you cry?!!! im listening to hockeys song too fake which is just very sweet and the guys are incredibly cute (check out the music video)!! i just seem very into boy bands at the moment! im loving boys like girls and their song the great escape which is so amazing to sing along to! also fleet foxes who ive mentioned before and friendly fires. check out some of my old posts for more about them. okay have a good day x

arctic monkeys

so this is another english band coming back with an amazing song with those great lyrics we have all come to love! these guys are just great and play just amzing music with killer lyrics, gorgeous tunes and a very english accent! they really are the kings of english indie. if youre unfamiliar with these guys check out their new song crying lightening or some of their older stuff like when the sun goes down and i bet you look good on the dancefloor. also fluorescent adolescent which is the song that really made me fall for this band. just amazing lyrics. there are so many bands who have tried to do what arctic monkeys do but they cant. arctic monkeys started off loving being unsigned and refused to sign up to any management but finally signed up to a manager but they only did this when they had a strong, dedicated fan base so their stuff does feel abit sort of cleaned up underground feel. have a good day x

im back and still smiling!

okay im back from my holiday and it was crazy! i had so much fun and it was so cool to go to sleep listening to sheep baaing (or whatever that noise they make is called!). although in the middle of the night, in the rain, i had to walk up to the toilet which was full of flying daddy-long-legs and flies!! we camped in wales and it was raining alot but we managed to go out and have a good time although its nice to be home now and to sleep in my own bed, have a warm shower and go to a clean bathroom which is free of creepy crawlies!

so while we were camping we had no radio but we had a cd player and my friend brought along the new killers album, day and age, and its really grown on me! im really lovng the killers now. im especially loving spaceman and everytime we got to that song we put the volume up really loud coz its just amzing!

by the way if you want a very loud song, my favourite song to blast out the windows is smells like teen spirit by nirvana which is just wow! theres no words to describe how genius it is!

fleet foxes

im just listening to these guys and they just have the cutest music. just so nice to listen to! listen to he doesnt know why and also white winter hymnal to understand what im talking about! ive been really into really into really simple music at the moment. ive just been listening to red hot chili peppers, now fleet foxes, pink, friendly fires and anything really simple. thats all i wanna hear at the moment. nothing too complicated like muse. i think im just sort of going through a music detox thing because i have this with food that all i wanna eat is simple things like fruit and veg so i think this is the music version of that!! i know that doesnt make a lot of sense but it is what it is. sorry for such a boring post. maybe ill be more inspired later on today or tomorrow. have a good day! x

the white stripes

okay. new obsession alert!! i have just found the white stripes. actually correction. i have liked these guys for a long time but i only really liked two of their songs, my doorbell and seven nation army. check out both songs btw. anyway so i decided to check out some of their other stuff and its all just amazing!! lovin dead leaves and dirty ground and the hardest button to button! these guys are just amazing!

also just had a manicure at nails inc today but afterwards the nail varnish hadnt dried properly and about 5 of my fingers got smudged! i was/am so upset! so i had to get out my nail polish when i got home and fill in the gaps but it doesnt look as good as before! it was very expensive also!

btw i have forgotten to mention my love for the chili peppers. they really are legends! im just really in the mood for them at the moment so ive been listening to californication on repeat (try it, trust me)!

this band ive always vaguely know of but now they have released an amzing song called audacity of huge. its just so addictive! they are now being played on daytime radio and everything! they are getting the success they deserve! these guys are so talented also their name in initals is really funny (smd)! for any of you innocent people out there that also stands for suck my ----. you can guess the last word!!!

just listening to pink please dont leave me and just like a pill. after hearing funhouse on the radio this morning i got into a really pink mood! also big news just bought these doc martens and i am very excited to get them. i have had the same boots now for over 4 years and they are looking dreadful! so this is very exciting!

friendly fires 2

okay last night i decided to give the new album of friendly fires a listen and omg it is so cool and indie and quirky! just listening to this album makes me feel cool! really check it out. its a really relaxing album and just a really great summer album!

this is a band that my friend is totally obsessed with but i just sort of like! check out there music video for dont trust me if you wanna know why im just not that into them. they are such idiots! the video starts with them taking off their robes (whats underneath is very disappointing, girls) and just taking themselves basically way too seriously! its just weird like theres no irony! they are totally serious! i dunno check it out

the maccabees

the maccabees are adorable! i just love these guys. they write amazing music and i just love these guys!

sorry im not into it today but i have lots to tell you!:

1. a few of my friends came round off cut my hair! i have waist length black hair which is gorgeously curly! i love my hair its really thick and big and so much fun! i dont do anything to it. im very lucky to have easy hair that just does as its told. it has natural curls which dont fall out! i love my hair and anyway my friends cut me some front layers and a bit of length off because the ends were looking dead!
2. right now im listening to battlefield by jordin sparks. i love this song! when you learn the words its so much fun to sing along! i love how she gets so into these meaningless lyrics!
3. i painted my nails yesterday and i love them! i painted them black and then put red on top so they look amazing but very emo coz i have like no nails! i love typing when i have painted nails!
4. eminems song beautiful is amazing! the lyrics, the melody, him! i love that guy! its so beautiful i was nearly crying (although i think that might have been PMS!)

okay now i have heard battlefield 4 times over (its on repeat!) so ill leave you!

friendly fires

although they havent done so amazing in the charts most english music listeners have heard their stuff which gets loads of radio time! whether its paris or jump in the pool or skeleton boy (all AMAZING songs!) its worth checking out their live performances which, besides being amazing to listen, are amazing to watch because they all look so comfortable on the stage with the lead singers cute dancing and their quirky way of dressing!

their songs are great and really chilled out. just really enjoyable to listen to! i have their new album and havent got round to listening to it but im sure that is going to stay in my player for months! x

just a short post on a band i dont know a hell of a lot about! but i am always singing their song our velocity in physics! every time the teacher says velocity i always automatically start singing that song!

there are loads of songs like that and it can get very annoying like every time i ask my friendwhat time is it? she says 'summertime. its our vacation....' which is from high school musical! its very annoying as ive started doing it as well!

my CHEMICAL romance!

my chemical romance are one of those bands who are really such twats. they think they are so cool and gothic but they arent raw enough. they dont mean what they say. those lyrics could be written by someone else. and they are so american and gushy it irritates me greatly. however, in spite of all of this, they have still managed to make 2 incredible songs, welcome to the black parade and teenagers. like jordin sparks they write crap lyrics. but the music is incredible! i go around singing the whole time 'ill caaarry on, ill carry ooon, ill carry on......'! can i also just say that gerard way looks best with the white blonde hair! it just suits him better! eminem also looked better with his fake blonde hair. when i saw his him on the jonathan ross show i was soo upset that hed cut it all off! so lesson of the day: fake blonde is sometimes the best way to go!

muse

my love for muse is so big its ridiculous! you have to check out there music to understand why i adore these guys so much! they just play such original music and every song is a masterpiece! all their songs have so many diferent layers. after listening to them you will never listen to music in the same way again! the lyrics all the guitar! there are really no wors to describe these songs so ill keep this short. i am so proud that muse are english. its so nice that we like 'own' these guys! they make me proud to be british! if youve not heard them before check out, time is running out, plug in baby and starlight. thats a good place to start and go from there. you dont hear them much on the radio but lots of people know them from guitar hero. enjoy!
