there are so many amazing collaborations at the moment. the top 5 in the chart update on wednesday was all collaborations!

this is how it looked:

1. airplanes by b.o.b ft. hayley williams. i am still totally addicted to this song. its just amazing, good emo pop.
2. love the way you lie by eminem ft. rihanna (title lyrics from this). this song is so addictive! when i first heard they did a collaboration i thought eminem would have done a calmer song, a bit less controversial but no this song is literally about abuse! its a bit wierd after the whole chris brown thing but anyway its such a beautiful song.
3. bang bang bang by mark ronson and the business. this song just gets in your head. im singing it now! its good quirky, fun pop! the perfect summer tune.
4. we no speak americano by yolanda be cool and DCUP. who would call themselves DCUP but anyway i love this song. its a really grower but such a great dance tune. just loving it and its nice to hear a bit of spanish!
5. just be good to green by professor green and lily allen. this song is probably one of my favourite collaborations this year. just love the contrast of their voices. its beautiful yet fun and an exciting song.

so that was the top 5 on wednesday. hopefully it will stay like that coz its been a long time since the top 5 looked this good. last summer there wasnt such great music around but it seems this summer is gonna be a summer of amazing music!

okay i think im gonna be taking a break from blogging. im going to france on thursday for 12 days. i think i just need a break from blogging to sort of remind me why i started blogging. btw im gonna be away for my blog's first birthday but just wanna say thank you to everyone who reads/follows my blog and thank you to all those of you who write blogs that really inspire me. love you all xxxx

so the charity single for haiti is at number one. is it wrong to hate charity singles? they all just sound the same and are so boring.

oh and i watched the brit awards last week. it was such a big moment for me and my friend when florence won best british album. thats one person who really deserved her award. JLS getting two awards? WTF?

just made a coffee cake which is currently in the oven. ill try and keep you posted on that. just ate some of the raw batter and im feeling ill. do you think i have salmonella?! i hope not.

save some face, you know youve only got one..

so rage is at no. 1!! i couldn't listen on sunday night but i was listening to the radio on monday morning and they said that rage against the machine is no. 1 and i just so excited coz i was hoping they would do it but deep down i knew joe would get it and by next year we would all forget the rage thing. well thankfully i was very wrong! killing in the name is just such an amazing song and compared to joes song, i mean joes song is just boring and doesnt even deserve to be in the top 10 but thats another story! im so excited about rage being at no. 1 im finishing every sentence with an exclamation mark! okay im stopping.

i have finally broken up from school although i am now supposed to get to some hard-core learning which is btw never gonna happen but we have been told this holiday should be treated as study leave and not a holiday. WTF?

my sister is at my dads in london so i have the computer to myself so forget hard-core learning, im gonna be doing hard-core blogging btw my form teacher did not use the actual words 'hard-core learning' shes like 60 although it would have been really funny if she would have!!

my current playlist is look after you by the fray, run by snowpatrol, i cant stay by the killers and ghosts and stuff by deadmau5. its a bit weird but it feels right for the winter. the snow just isnt stopping, it just reminds me of when we went in the winter to scotland and we would get stuck in all kinds of stuff like one day we were stuck in this snow blizzard, it was just crazy!

im waiting for the postman to resume coz i have a dvd that should be here by now but they haven't come for the past two days, its nick and noras infinite playlist and i cant wait to tell you about it when i finally get it!

okay im gonna leave you now coz run has just come on and i need to sing along! x

im beginning to think i imagined you all along...

im so in the mood for winter at the moment! its just really exciting! i love black and white pictures soo much so above are some of my favourites at the moment. i especially love the rihanna photo, she is just soo amazing!
btw what the hell is up with kanye west?! he gets on my nerves, he just needs to get over himself. he is a genius but hes totally ruining it. im sure youve heard this a million times so i will shut up!
also i realise im not too great at reviewing songs. im just not very good at describing music so i wanna give you a link to the radio 1 chart blog which always gives amazing reviews so you can check it out here.
just want to say congratulations to pixie lott on the no. 1 with boys and girls. its a great song and the charts are just looking SO much better at the moment! have a good night x

hes a scumbag dont you know

so this weekend has been reading and leeds and creamfields festivals so there has been lots of live music on radio 1 and also great coverage on bbc 3. i especially loved the arctic monkeys performance which was on on saturday night and wow! what performance although i have to say to alex turner to cut off the hair. its not a good look. also the charts are looking much better this week with dizzee rascal at the top with holiday which is a decent song and by far better than akon. also im totally loving just jack whose song the day i died is just amazing. some people thought he was gonna be a one hit wonder with starz in their eyes but he proved them wrong with embers and now AGAIN with the day i died. go just jack!

just a random fact: i just realised that the sexiest male voices in music are not very sexy looking men for example lead singer of kings of leon, i was very upset when i saw him in a music video. its like the fact that men with gorgeous faces have horrible hands. antonia quirke said that in her book and when i looked around i realised she is so right.

currently im listening to iris by the goo goo dolls but i think im going to listen to when you were young by the killers soon. also i watched outnumbered before which was hilarous, check it out on the iplayer. so good night to you all x
