there are so many amazing collaborations at the moment. the top 5 in the chart update on wednesday was all collaborations!

this is how it looked:

1. airplanes by b.o.b ft. hayley williams. i am still totally addicted to this song. its just amazing, good emo pop.
2. love the way you lie by eminem ft. rihanna (title lyrics from this). this song is so addictive! when i first heard they did a collaboration i thought eminem would have done a calmer song, a bit less controversial but no this song is literally about abuse! its a bit wierd after the whole chris brown thing but anyway its such a beautiful song.
3. bang bang bang by mark ronson and the business. this song just gets in your head. im singing it now! its good quirky, fun pop! the perfect summer tune.
4. we no speak americano by yolanda be cool and DCUP. who would call themselves DCUP but anyway i love this song. its a really grower but such a great dance tune. just loving it and its nice to hear a bit of spanish!
5. just be good to green by professor green and lily allen. this song is probably one of my favourite collaborations this year. just love the contrast of their voices. its beautiful yet fun and an exciting song.

so that was the top 5 on wednesday. hopefully it will stay like that coz its been a long time since the top 5 looked this good. last summer there wasnt such great music around but it seems this summer is gonna be a summer of amazing music!

okay i think im gonna be taking a break from blogging. im going to france on thursday for 12 days. i think i just need a break from blogging to sort of remind me why i started blogging. btw im gonna be away for my blog's first birthday but just wanna say thank you to everyone who reads/follows my blog and thank you to all those of you who write blogs that really inspire me. love you all xxxx

i didnt really hear much of the coverage coz i actually went to wales this weekend! i went with one of my best friends and a friends babysitting job who we've all become really friendly with. shes 22 but has three kids and just got a divorce and when she was going through the divorce she became really good friends with one of my friends. anyway it was sort of a last minute thing but we went to this caravan on this farm in north wales in the middle of nowhere and just had a lovely time.. really relaxing and peaceful.

but im back for about a week and a bit coz im off to france really soon! im so excited about france!

so back to t in the park: the only performance ive watched is eminems performance which was epic. i swear i was nearly in tears. im so obsessed with eminem its not even funny!

anyway im off to afflecks palace with a few friends today and im just generally spending my holidays on the internet or watching films (i watched the ugly truth last night which was amazing! i now have a new crush on gerald butler and hes scottish! you know how much i love scottish accents!) x

so the story is: a girl waiting to be discovered (i just want you to know who i am-iris by the goo goo dolls) then she meets someone and its love at first site (coz maybe youre gonna be the one that saves me-wonderwall by oasis) and its all amazing with her boyfriend even writing a song for her (look at the stars, look how they shine for you.. i wrote a song for you and all the things you do-yellow by coldplay) then she walks in on him cheating on her (who's this woman in my bed.. get the hell off of my baby-ouch by N-DUBZ). she cant take the lies that hes telling her, the stories he's making up (if youve got no kind words you should say nothing more at all-no kind words by the maccabees) she tells him its over and he straight away starts dating the girl he cheated on her with (when i see you walking with her i have to cover my eyes-cover my eyes by la roux) and everytime he's with his new girlfriend he ignores her (you grace me with your cold shoulder, whenever you look at me i wish i was her-cold shoulder by adele) and she has her moments when she cant manage with out him (i feel so small, i think i need you baby-everytime by britney spears) and she feels like she cant go another day without him (im falling apart, im barely breathing, with a broken heart thats still beating-broken by lifehouse) but she realises what a dickhead he is and she decides to get her revenge (im gonna tell them all youre rubbish in bed now and that youre small in the game-not big by lily allen) and she realises how blinded she was by him (how come id never hear you say i just wanna be with you, i guess you never felt that way-since u been gone by kelly clarkson)

so that is the story. i wrote this playlist a few weeks ago while on holiday and its basically alot of my favourite songs put together. the only song i dont like too much is the N-DUBZ one but it fit too perfectly to miss it out. the only bit missing is a good 'ive moved on' song but i couldnt really think of any coz all songs about moving on such as not big by lily allen actually show that they havent moved on when you read the lyrics!

you know my problem with blogging is that ill discover some new music and by the time i actually write about it im just not that into it so lets talk really new music before i forget again!

i love local natives who ive actually liked for a long time but keep on forgetting to blog about but i still adore their single airplane.

also i love professor green. i heard his single about a month or two ago and i didnt really like it that much but ive really fallen in love with it! its called i need you tonight and its just a really fun song. he actually went on tour with lily allen so if you were lucky enough to see lily you would have seen him as well!

another song which ive forgotten to write about is audio bullys new single only man. it reminds me a bit of bloc party and its just a massive song. really cool. also reminds me of one life stand by hot chip, where the hell has that song gone?! i love that song!

the problem with some bands is that they have such a long annoying name that you just cant be bothered writing down to check out. ou eh la swimming pool is one of those bands. ive literally been into their music for about 6 months but today was the first day i actually googled them! they have this amazing song called dance the way i feel which i think was their last single but only now am i obsessed with it! im so slow sometimes!

hope youre all well. all my family seems to have gone down with colds but we all seem to be getting better. its nearly spring now so goodbye to colds! i just bought a really summery skirt and im feeling very summery at the moment, just refusing to wear a coat (probably the reason for my cold!) x

kid sister. i dunno why im starting a post like this but what the hell. so yes, kid sister. she was on radio 1 last night and she is so hilarious. her music has so much character and shes so opinionated. its something that really gets to me, when people have no opinions. i just hate people who have nothing to say for themselves. thats why i hate people like leona lewis, she just bores me to death and i wish she would just say something controversial just to show she isnt a robot. she actually gets me really depressed coz shes just such a sad person. thats why i love people like la roux and lily allen who just say what theyre thinking. if they think some music is shit, they say its shit. really its about honesty. they arent afraid to speak their minds but leona, okay we arent talking about her anymore, im gonna scream with frustration soon about her. its like just smile girl!

did i tell you how excited i am to have rihanna back?! she makes such great music and i love russian roulette. im not really into the blonde hair thing but whatever im lovin her music now so i really dont care what shes doing with her hair!

some sad news

i am leaving you. im just going to say it straight! i am leaving the wonderful blogging for a whole 6 days (me trying not to be melodramatic is like a fish surviving out of water ie its never gonna happen!) i am off to see my dad who lives in london and i am very excited. im going to the theatre, camden market and oxford street and possibly other shopping places. i love shopping and my dad is willing to take me. im quite excited as my dad is taking a few days off from work but a few days im just gonna go around london by myself which is just so cool. i remember last time i went and i just went to oxford street by myself then came back and let myself into my dads flat and i just felt so independent. thats something i am so grateful for. coz my mom hates shopping i have been shopping by myself for a long time. i got a debit card when i was twelve. thats the great thing about having divorced parents, you really have to be independent.

• the streets-fit but you know it. just heard it on the radio and its so cool. the lyrics are so amazing. amazing is my new favourite word.
• nelly furtado. shes just done that flo rida song jump which is decent but i love some of her older stuff like maneater.
• run this town. im sure youve heard so much about this. its a monster! jay z, rihanna and kanye west. it cant be anything but amazing and they really dont disappoint with this killer of a tune!
• check out the goo goo dolls who are just amazing. they have some new stuff but iris is still my favourite. just beautiful music.

this weeks top 40

okay this is going to be purely a music post and i am very excited! first look above and there you can see a picture of ian carey project. get shaky is such an amazing song to sing along to and dance around in your underwear doing ridiculously sexy moves that you would NEVER do in front of anyone else other than your bedroom mirror!! and this song reached the amazing spot of no. 9 this week! also the female vocalist has such a cool voice!

i love lily allen alot and she has come back this year with some amzing singles like 22 which is all about how ridiculous it is that life is said to be over at 30. lily always has some great lyrics and they always make you think alot abit like arctic monkeys lyrics. this song is also very melodic and lilys voice is, as always, just gorgeous!

this crazy guy up above is frankmusik who is yes abit strange but he does make amzing music! his song in this weeks chart is confusion girl which is very addictive and very cute! its also very catchy and will go round your head all day! his music always has a great tune! on his website you can hear all his songs, so check it out here.

this beautiful woman is the very lovely florence who you will know as my idol/obsession! beautiful, amzing, talented, i just love her! in the charts at the moment is the legendry rabbit heart but at the moment i am loving her new single which hasnt charted yet called the drumming song. check out the music video here on her website in which she looks so incredible.

and last to be talked about is chicane who i have listened to all through writing this post! his song poppiholla is just amzing. with no words just an beautiful melody, this song is just gorgeous. its also worth checking out his website here because you can listen to some of his other stuff which is also really beautiful.

lily allen

lily allen is just amazing! i have been into her for a long time now. she started out really because of her myspace and then started realising stuff a few years ago. she writes amazing lyrics such as:

"I'm not trying to say that I'm smelling of roses but when will we tire of putting shit up our noses... It's meant to be fun and this just doesn't feel right... So you've got a prescription, and that makes it legal. I find those excuses overwhelmingly feeble… The kids are in danger, they're all getting habits. From what I can see, everyone's at it."

These are some of the lyrics to her song everyones at it. its some of her more stuff and still genius. when her new album came out i was terrified of hating it as i had so many expectations because i loved the first album however the new album sounds great although i havent bought it yet(yes im still skint!).

i love how english she is and she makes lots of references to english culture in her songs like, for example, LDN.

she has a gorgeous voice and a lot of talent and some of her songs are so soothing (if you dont listen to the sinister lyrics!) on her first album there is a song called everythings just wonderful which is a song hat has a beautiful melody and heart breaking lyrics. she talks about how twisted the world is and how 'I wish I could change the ways of the world, make it a nice place'. shes so talented so i advise you to check out her albums as her singles dont do her justice!
