there are so many amazing collaborations at the moment. the top 5 in the chart update on wednesday was all collaborations!

this is how it looked:

1. airplanes by b.o.b ft. hayley williams. i am still totally addicted to this song. its just amazing, good emo pop.
2. love the way you lie by eminem ft. rihanna (title lyrics from this). this song is so addictive! when i first heard they did a collaboration i thought eminem would have done a calmer song, a bit less controversial but no this song is literally about abuse! its a bit wierd after the whole chris brown thing but anyway its such a beautiful song.
3. bang bang bang by mark ronson and the business. this song just gets in your head. im singing it now! its good quirky, fun pop! the perfect summer tune.
4. we no speak americano by yolanda be cool and DCUP. who would call themselves DCUP but anyway i love this song. its a really grower but such a great dance tune. just loving it and its nice to hear a bit of spanish!
5. just be good to green by professor green and lily allen. this song is probably one of my favourite collaborations this year. just love the contrast of their voices. its beautiful yet fun and an exciting song.

so that was the top 5 on wednesday. hopefully it will stay like that coz its been a long time since the top 5 looked this good. last summer there wasnt such great music around but it seems this summer is gonna be a summer of amazing music!

okay i think im gonna be taking a break from blogging. im going to france on thursday for 12 days. i think i just need a break from blogging to sort of remind me why i started blogging. btw im gonna be away for my blog's first birthday but just wanna say thank you to everyone who reads/follows my blog and thank you to all those of you who write blogs that really inspire me. love you all xxxx

kid sister. i dunno why im starting a post like this but what the hell. so yes, kid sister. she was on radio 1 last night and she is so hilarious. her music has so much character and shes so opinionated. its something that really gets to me, when people have no opinions. i just hate people who have nothing to say for themselves. thats why i hate people like leona lewis, she just bores me to death and i wish she would just say something controversial just to show she isnt a robot. she actually gets me really depressed coz shes just such a sad person. thats why i love people like la roux and lily allen who just say what theyre thinking. if they think some music is shit, they say its shit. really its about honesty. they arent afraid to speak their minds but leona, okay we arent talking about her anymore, im gonna scream with frustration soon about her. its like just smile girl!

did i tell you how excited i am to have rihanna back?! she makes such great music and i love russian roulette. im not really into the blonde hair thing but whatever im lovin her music now so i really dont care what shes doing with her hair!

i pull up thorns from our ripped bodies and let the blood fall in my mouth

the lyrics are snowpatrols from their second album. i was very excited about this lyric when i bought the album two years ago coz i was going through this whole stupid emo phase and its such a dark lyric and song and is called headlights on dark roads. definitely check out that album. it really grew on me and was really my album for last winter.
the pictures are to go with the lyrics so very vampirish and dark. just very wintery. all my posts seem to be about the weather at the moment! im so boring!
so whats been happening in my life:
i watched desperately seeking susan which is so amazing. i cant really describe it, its just amazing in that classic way that could never be replicated.
im currently eating cookie dough ben and jerrys and its pure heaven! its buy one get one free at sainsburys so we stocked up on ice cream and its just beautiful.
i dont feel like you guys know me that well so i heres a random list of stuff about me:
1. i have cataracts in both my eyes that ive always had. i was just born with them but they dont really bother me so i havent got them removed
2. im such a massive britney fan. i dont think i talk about britney on this blog enough. shes not my guilty pleasure coz i just dont believe you should feel guilty about what music you like but i know she is for a lot of people.
3. im in love with the name alfie. i checked out the meaning on wikipedia and it means something like one who is couseled by elves. my friend doesnt think its a good idea to have a kid called alfie coz there are like no normal alfies. im still sticking by my love for the name at alfie. im very stubborn about matters like this.
4. waterloo road is on tv tonight! im so excited! im actually hate tv but there are a few things i have to watch every week like mock the week
5. im thinking of cutting my hair really short like rihanna style.
6. my parents are divorced. did i ever mention that? its so unimportant to me coz they got divorced so long ago and it was such an uneventful divorce. my dad just moved out and went to live in a flat and they got a divorce. neither of them was dating anyone else and they both havent got remarried and i love only having one parent. my dad probably wouldn't let me do half the things i do but because he doesnt live with us he doesnt really tell me off or anything. he did used to try but then when my grandad died he got really depressed and since then he lets my mum have the final say on everything. i love having divorced parents and btw i am so mot traumatised by it all like everyone presumes i am.

okay amazing news! jay z, rihanna and kanye have made it to no. 1! im so happy just so good and im soo excited for rihannas new album! its gonna be big! congrats to them!

this band ive always liked just didnt know their name and im just totally obsessed with thats what you get. such a fun song! enjoy and how pretty is hayley? love the red hair!

im just loving read my mind at the moment. listening to sams town which is just one of the best albums EVER! you just have to jump around to it!

walking tall against the rain

yes i am back in rainy manchester and have enjoyed my holiday so much but i missed blogging and am very excited to be back! in london i was watching the music channels quite alot so i have loads of info and opinions to share with you! first i want to talk about shakira who has made a comeback with she wolf and my friend sent me a text about it which really says it all:

"i saw the music video for shakiras new single OMG its practically porn. i was so surprised that i watched the documentary on the making of it: shakira explained SHYLY that it is about the modern woman who went through a scarlett closet and became a sexually charged wolf who 'follows her desires' at one point it is difficult to see whether she is wearing any clothes or not. which is weird because i watched in an interview that she is very shy about her body 'the dancing requires it' apparently she learnt to belly dance to overcome her shyness!!! what do u make of that?" thank you to rivka for the words i couldnt have said it better and id love to kn0w your opinion on the matter...
as you all must know, run this town is just so huge but i just want to say that in the music video for run this town, rihannas hair looks very la roux. both of them are making me desperate to get short hair but im just way too chicken.

and lastly just wanted to say that pixie lott has such a killer voice and her new single boys and girls just shows off what a great voice she has, also the music video shows off her killer legs btw what is it with the short shorts at the moment? pixie lott, katy perry and lady gaga are all rocking the shorts which are just a tiny bit to short thereby showing just a tiny bit of killer ass!! have a great day x

some sad news

i am leaving you. im just going to say it straight! i am leaving the wonderful blogging for a whole 6 days (me trying not to be melodramatic is like a fish surviving out of water ie its never gonna happen!) i am off to see my dad who lives in london and i am very excited. im going to the theatre, camden market and oxford street and possibly other shopping places. i love shopping and my dad is willing to take me. im quite excited as my dad is taking a few days off from work but a few days im just gonna go around london by myself which is just so cool. i remember last time i went and i just went to oxford street by myself then came back and let myself into my dads flat and i just felt so independent. thats something i am so grateful for. coz my mom hates shopping i have been shopping by myself for a long time. i got a debit card when i was twelve. thats the great thing about having divorced parents, you really have to be independent.

so abit of music to listen to:

• okay you know my florence obsession. just check her out. legendary.
• la rouxs song quicksand is my new obsession even though its quite old. la roux is just amazing and so talented.
• lily allen is so talented and she has come back with an amazing album.
• pink has just got the most gorgeous sexy voice. its amazing. im so desperate to have a voice like that. id do anything for it.
• calvin harris has got some amazing songs out at the moment namely ready for the weekend
• the streets-fit but you know it. just heard it on the radio and its so cool. the lyrics are so amazing. amazing is my new favourite word.
• nelly furtado. shes just done that flo rida song jump which is decent but i love some of her older stuff like maneater.
• run this town. im sure youve heard so much about this. its a monster! jay z, rihanna and kanye west. it cant be anything but amazing and they really dont disappoint with this killer of a tune!
• check out the goo goo dolls who are just amazing. they have some new stuff but iris is still my favourite. just beautiful music.
